Office of Communications & Marketing
The Office of Creative Services enhances Emerson’s brand equity by managing its visual identity and maintaining design standards. Creative Services is responsible for the visual manifestation of Emerson’s mission and strategic plans. The office helps to position the College by visually differentiating it from its competitors.
Creative Services works in partnership with administrative and academic departments to clarify needs and develop design strategies to achieve marketing and communication objectives and to help reach the overall goals of Emerson. The office offers creative direction, visual design, copy editing, and print supervision for the development of informational and marketing solutions for Emerson programs, events, recruitment endeavors, fundraising efforts, and other contingencies.
Creative Services ensures that project results meet professional standards and are in compliance with Emerson’s brand identity. Typical projects may include, but are not limited to, brochures, catalogs, invitations, newsletters, direct mail, posters, reports, and logos.
Creative Services does not charge for services that it provides directly. Departments are charged for any photography, writing, or other outside services that are required and for printing and postage. In the event that Creative Services is unable to undertake projects due to its workload, it will help departments identify outside vendors that can perform the work, under Creative Services’ supervision. The departments will pay the outside vendor fees.
