The Ethics Circle

During the 2013-14 academic year, the Ethics Circle is on sabbatical. Activities will resume in Fall, 2014.

In the fall of 2009, full-time faculty members who teach ethics at Emerson College began to meet informally to talk about the teaching of ethics, leading works in the ethics field, research about ethics, their own work, and similar topics. Some of the faculty members have made informal presentations, discussing their approach to teaching and summarizing some of their work. The group includes Professors Baeten, Muchnik, Lanson, Paraschos, Payne, and Cooper.

Many other faculty and others who are interested in ethics have gathered with the group. Any Emerson employee, including those who feature ethics discussions and issues in their courses, or those who wish to add an ethics module, component, or lecture to a class, and those who have an intellectual interest in the field, are welcome to join Ethics Circle meetings in Walker 209.
