Consultations
Faculty may consult with the CITL director about teaching and learning concerns and issues in several ways:
- One-on-one, private, and confidential sessions with the director.
- The director will visit class sessions to gather data to assist faculty in teaching for enhanced student learning.
- Mid-semester Student Feedback: the director will visit a class at the request of a faculty member. During the visit, she will gather students’ anonymous, voluntary perspectives about how the teaching has facilitated their learning, or what changes in teaching could enhance learning.
Contact Karen St. Clair to arrange a consultation.
Teaching at Emerson: A Tutorial
All faculty members are invited to sign up for Teaching at Emerson: It's About Student Learning. This online, self-paced teaching tutorial focuses on course design and the student-centered teaching approach. Contact Karen St. Clair for more information.
Education Resources
The CITL maintains a collection of books, articles, and web resources on teaching and learning in higher education. We can also help you find information on specific teaching and learning topics.
