The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) was founded to promote innovative teaching for enhanced student learning. We provide resources to support faculty in their teaching, and we also support student learning through our affiliated offices: Service Learning and Community Action, the Lacerte Family Writing and Academic Resource Center, and the Disability Services Office.
The CITL also directs Emerson’s assessment of student learning. We value innovation, take a developmental approach, and maintain confidentiality.
I invite you to explore this site and visit us in person at the office in 205 Walker.
Karen L. St.Clair, PhD
Director
Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning
The CITL’s mission is to enable student learning by providing the faculty with professional development opportunities in teaching, by promoting academic support programming for student learning, and by providing guidance and mechanisms for garnering evidence of student learning for accountabilities and improvements.
