Graduate & Professional Education Placement (Undergraduates)

Emerson's Office of Institutional Research has used data from the National Student Clearinghouse to estimate the number of recent undergraduate alumni who have pursued additional higher education after graduating from Emerson. We have looked at five recent groups of alumni: those graduating 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09, and 2009-10.

2005-06 graduates (n=813)

  • As of 7/30/12, 118 (14.5%) have enrolled in a higher education institution at some point.
  • 60 alumni (7.4%) have attained additional degrees.
  • 63 alumni (7.7%) were enrolled in a higher education program during the 2011-12 academic year.

2006-07 graduates (n=833)

  • As of 7/30/12, 177(21.2%) have enrolled in a higher education institution at some point.
  • 75 alumni (9%) have attained additional degrees.
  • 59 alumni (7.1%) were enrolled in a higher education program during the 2011-12 academic year.

2007-08 graduates (n=846)

  • As of 7/30/12, 159 (18.8%) have enrolled in a higher education institution at some point.
  • 52 alumni (6.1%) have attained additional degrees.
  • 47 alumni (5.6%) were enrolled in a higher education program during the 2011-12 academic year.

2008-09 graduates (n=850)

  • As of 7/30/12, 108 (12.7%) have enrolled in a higher education institution at some point.
  • 29 alumni (3.4%) have attained additional degrees.
  • 44 alumni (5.2%) were enrolled in a higher education program during the 2011-12 academic year.

2009-10 graduates (n=854)

  • As of 7/30/12, 93 (10.9%) have enrolled in a higher education institution at some point.
  • 14 alumni (1.6%) have attained additional degrees.
  • 59 alumni (6.9%) were enrolled in a higher education program during the 2011-12 academic year.
